Templepeople13Welcome to Temple B’rith Shalom, a Reform synagogue in the Central Arizona mountains with a diverse congregation. We are located in beautiful Prescott, AZ. Please feel welcome to explore our friendly community through your participation in our many religious, educational and social activities.

As a Reform congregation affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism (URJ), we strive to attain the high ideals of the movement. This means that we try to make informed, meaningful choices from the Jewish tradition to guide our observance of mitzvot. We take an open-minded approach to Jewish religious belief and practice. We are committed to God, Torah, and Israel.

Our congregants come from different parts of the United States as well as other countries. Our congregation is comprised of members from more than 170 households. We are a diverse group politically, socially and religiously. Our pluralism leads us to respect each other and to honor our differences, while we come together to create a Jewish spiritual home for all Jews in Prescott. Together we encourage all families and individuals to participate in lifelong learning and communal prayer.

Our dues structure (see our membership application for details) is affordable and includes tickets for the High Holy Days.

In July and August we will hold Shabbat evening services every Friday at 6:00 p.m. and Shabbat morning services every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Please note: Our onegs, featuring wine and appetizers will be held before the Friday evening service at 5:15 p.m.

Templepeople16We hold services for all important Jewish holidays and offer a rich calendar of special events, programs, and classes covering a wide variety of subjects and activities. Our Religious School uses an excellent and inclusive course of study that enriches our children’s Jewish knowledge and Jewish identity.

Temple B’rith Shalom supports many community programs and participates in many interfaith events. We have regular fundraisers and food drives in an ongoing effort to support organizations and shelters serving those less fortunate in Prescott.
